Adam Darby, MD

Dr. Darby is a dual-fellowship trained neurologist with subspecialty expertise in behavioral neurology and sports neurology/concussion care. In addition to practicing general neurology, he has spent the past three years overseeing a regional UCLA-affiliated memory care clinic, where he specializes in the diagnosis and comprehensive management of conditions such as Alzheimer’s disease, Lewy body disease, and frontotemporal lobar degeneration.

Driven by a passion for preventive neurology and brain wellness, Dr. Darby has dedicated years to analyzing global best practices in this field. His clinical goal is to cultivate a patient-centered, proactive environment that empowers individuals to optimize their long-term cognitive health.

Originally from the Northeast of England, Dr. Darby earned his undergraduate degree from Durham University and his medical degree from St. George's University. He completed his Neurology residency training at the University of Vermont before pursuing advanced expertise at UCLA, where he completed two highly specialized fellowships: one in Behavioral Neurology and another in Sports Neurology and Concussion. Dr. Darby remains affiliated with UCLA and holds dual board certifications from the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (ABPN) and the United Council for Neurologic Subspecialties (UCNS).

Imaad Nasir, MD

Dr. Nasir is a board-certified neurologist and UCLA fellowship-trained behavioral neurologist with subspecialty expertise in memory disorders, cognitive change, traumatic brain injury/concussion, brain health, and complex neurobehavioral conditions. Prior to co-founding Westlake Neurological Associates, he served as Assistant Clinical Professor of Neurology at UCLA. His clinical work focuses on diagnostic clarity, prevention, and personalized brain health, particularly for patients and families navigating complex or uncertain neurological symptoms.

Dr. Nasir’s work spans academic medicine, inpatient neurohospitalist care, and private practice. He evaluates cognitive and neurobehavioral symptoms in the context of neurodegenerative disease as well as complex neurological, medical, and neuropsychiatric conditions, including stroke, hospitalization, ICU illness, traumatic brain injury/concussion, headache, complex pain, and psychiatric illness. He believes thoughtful neurological care should not only clarify diagnosis, but also help patients understand risk, preserve function, and make better long-term decisions.

He attended Drexel University for his undergraduate education and obtained his medical degree from Ross University School of Medicine. He completed residency training in Neurology at the University of Arizona College of Medicine in Tucson, an Advanced Comprehensive Stroke Center and Level I Trauma Center, before completing a two-year clinical and research fellowship in Behavioral Neurology at UCLA. During fellowship, he trained in multidisciplinary memory care and complex cognitive and behavioral disorders, and was actively involved with national research initiatives in early-onset Alzheimer’s disease and frontotemporal lobar degeneration, including LEADS and ALLFTD. His broader academic interests include cognitive literacy, socioemotional states, behavior, and brain health. He is board certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.
